Sachin Tendulkar’s drean house will finally become a reality after the cricketer managed to purchase the villa near Carter Road in Bandra (W) that he had his heart set on for a long time.

The property in question is Dorab Villa, an old bungalow on Perry Cross Road which was sold to the cricketer for an undisclosed sum by its owners, the Satra Group, which is into the construction businaee. Though the exact figure could not be ascertained as both parties in the deal refused to divulge any details, sources pegged the price of the property at around Rs 35 crore.

“We sold Dorab Villa to Sachin Tendulkar in December,” said Dr Vijay Satra, brother of managing director Praful Satra, who had purchased the property. He refused to divulge any details.

Tendulkar and his family had visited the property a number of times last year, sources said.

Earlier, in October 2007, the bungalow’s then owner, Kishore Bajaj, a developer, sold it to the Satra Group. “We sold Dorab Villa to Sachin Tendulkar in December,” said Dr Vijay Satra, brother of managing director Praful Satra, who had purchased this property.
